Comments

First issued September 26th, BE2548/AD2005. Because of the confusion between 1 Baht coins and 2 Baht coins due to the size and color, the issued number of the coin dated BE2550/AD2007 was the lowest among the dates. (not included 2009, which is still the mysterious date among Thai collectors.) The metal of 2 Baht coins later changed to aluminium-bronze.

While BE2550/AD2007 is listed as having the highest mintage, it appears to be the most difficult date to find. It is also absent from BE2550/AD2007 Mint sets.
As well, BE2549/AD2006 is, by far, the easiest to find. A possible theory is that there were, in fact, 232_105_100 coins struck in 2007, but the majority were actually dated 2006.

Data in http://www.coinscan.com/for/tha.html written that all coins of this type was minted by Royal Canadian mint.

There is a video showing picture of 2 Baht 2550 struck on Aluminium bronze planchet.
