Does anyone know the weight of the Oxford Pound? I'm assuming that this coin must be the largest circulating coin in British history since it dwarfs the Cartwheel 2 pence.

The first link might be light due to wear as I reckon it was the actual weight for the auction, rather than the minted weight.

I'm not an expert in any kind of coins, but I reckon I'm good at research and will do my best to help. Feel free to tell me my identifications/valuations/gradings are wrong. It's the only way I'll learn.

Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.

Since it is just a presentation piece I'd assume that the Cartwheel 2 Pence is the UKs heaviest circulating coin?
