Coins from the State of Brandenburg-Prussia

The State of Brandenburg-Prussia is a personal union concluded in 1618 by the Margraviate of Brandenburg and ducal Prussia, bringing the two states together under the authority of the ruler of the Hohenzollern dynasty. Following the Peace of Westphalia in 1648, this union became real on January 18, 1701 when Margrave Frederick III was crowned the first king in Prussia at Königsberg.
