Albert Thorvaldsen. Sculptor, 1770-1844

Obverse

Bare head of sculptor Thorvaldsen facing right inside a circle. Around a wide border presents a circle of ancient gods and warriors, symbol of Thorvaldsen passion for classic arts.

Reverse

Wide border presents sixteen sections with minuscule figures of Thorvaldsen’s most famous sculptures. In central circle his masterpiece: "Hafniae". Dania left seated on a throne ornate with Danish arms and a trident, receiving tiny cherub playing lyre from a naked girl staying on the back of a dolphin.
