Comments

This 2018 set in the popular Native American series honors the Abenaki Nation, one of the Algonquin-speaking peoples who once lived throughout northeastern North America. Their villages were located on the fertile floodplains of rivers which provided ideal growing conditions for a largely plant-based diet of squash, corn and beans.
Officially recognized as a sovereign nation by the U.S. government, the Jamul tribe is legally authorized to issue its own commemorative coins, including this handsome set honoring the Abenaki people. It is limited in mintage to 25,000. It comes in a colorfully illustrated display card with a certificate of authenticity.
