Beginning of the First War between Denmark and Schleswig-Holstein
Christian I. of Oldenburg standing right of an altar conjuring the national law in 1460. He wears the regal clothes, holding scepter and with the shield of Denmark at his feet. Left to him are two veiled women, personifications of Schleswig and of Holstein (as suggested by the shield behind them).
