Inauguration of the Royers sluice and the Havendok canal near Antverp in 1907
A siren blows a conch and waves a staff of Mercury in the entrance channel of the sluice, the doors of which are opened by a second siren (left) and a river god (right); the steamship "Antwerp" entering the sluice; from the mast a flag of Antwerp waves to the left and a flag with a lion to the right.
