Comments

In 1971, the Soviet President Alexei Kosygin, having nothing better to do, embarked on a tour of Canada. Early in the tour, he was famously attacked by a Hungarian patriot, so security was kept extremely tight for his subsequent visits. One of the President's visits was to the Sherritt Mint in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, where he was presented with a specially struck medallion almost exactly like this one (except, of course, without the word "REPLICA").
