Banknotes from Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands are a small island nation which is currently a British Overseas Territory. Though it was regularly visited by pirates and deserters in the 1600's, it was not permanently settled until the 1730's, after which it became part of the Colony of Jamaica. Following Jamaican independence in 1962, the Cayman Islands obtained its current status. The islands are best-known for facilitating tax evasion. Its citizens are among the wealthiest in the Caribbean.
