Coins from the Lordship of Tinos and Mykonos

"Following the capture of Constantinople by the Fourth Crusade (1204), Tinos and Mykonos were two of several islands ruled by private Venetian citizens and belonged to Andrea Ghisi, whose heirs held it until 1390 when the last member of the family branch bequeathed both Tinos and Mykonos to Venice. A very rare billon denier tournois, imitating the deniers of Thebes, was issued by Giorgio Ghisi (1303--1311)."
