Saint Petersburg Mint is one of the world's largest mints. It was founded by Peter the Great in 1724 on the site of the Peter and Paul Fortress, so it is one of the oldest industrial enterprises in Saint Petersburg. It is a part of the Goznak State-owned corporation.

The Saint Petersburg Mint was known under different names along its history:
• Saint Petersburg Mint / Санкт-Петербургский монетный двор (1724-1914; 1996-date)
• Petrograd Mint / Петроградский монетный двор (1914-1924)
• Leningrad Mint / Ленинградский монетный двор (1924-1996 )
