Coins from Punic Motye

Motye was founded by the Phoenicians in the 8th Century BC in Western Sicily and then passed on to Carthage. Dionysus I conquered it in 397 BC. Bronze and silver coins with the Sicilian Litra standard were issued from the end of the 5th Century BC.
