Comments

These tokens were given out by the Conservative party during the 1891 federal election campaign. The Conservatives, led by John A. Macdonald went on to win the election over Wilfred Laurier and the Liberal party. Given that all examples I have seen of this token have a hole in the same place, and that both sides are aligned such that the hole does not obscure the lettering, I believe that it is original.
