Issued as part of the Fifth series of the New Taiwan dollar by the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and was issued into general circulation on July 3, 2000. This is the original issue without the holographic stripe and contains errors in the images presented on the note, with the globe that the children are surrounding is a mirror image and the 45 degree angle in the background of the note labeled as 60 degrees. Withdrawn from general circulation on August 1, 2007.
