100 Francs (Young peasant, type 145 with inverted watermark) - obverse

Type 1945 adapted 1952
Removal of a purple line at the bottom of the front (from the letter R of the alphabet 458 dated April 3, 1952), probably due to its great fragility at the edge of the printing plate.

One combination of signatures:
e) Gaston Goüin d´Ambrières - Pol Gargam (02/10/52, 08/06/53, 10/10/53, 07/01/54, 04/03/54 and 01/04/54)

Special case concerning the watermark
On certain banknotes dated from 1952 to 1954, the image of the watermark is "turned over" in the horizontal direction, most probably due to an error during the manufacture of the dies of the watermarked form of the paper machine of one of the stationeries. Given the almost perfect symmetry of the original image and the small number of tickets involved, this reversal of meaning has had no impact.
