Angkor Wat is a temple located in Angkor, Cambodia. It is one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia and is renowned for its stunning architecture and rich history. The Guinness World Records considers it as the largest religious structure in the world. It was originally constructed as a Hindu templeduring the 12th century, then gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the century; as such, it is also described as a "Hindu-Buddhist" temple.
