Obverse

Orange and black on blue underprint.
At the right side two rows of orange oval’s in which the yin/yang symbol (which was Niels Bohrs mark) and a portrait of nuclear physicist Niels Bohr (1885-1962), with text ”Niels Bohr” and a atom model. Upper left an orange square with a ”D (for five hundred) and a latent atom model.

Reverse

At the left a knight in armour fighting a dragon, inspired by the font at Lihme Church in northern Jutland. Behind which is a rosette in blue and orange. At the right side a orange circle surrounding the watermark. In the orange circle is the serial specification. Inside the circle a lot of small orange circles.

Partly wisibel metalic security thread ”window thread” with ”500 KR”
Microprint. On the obverse is ”500 KR” printet around the watermark in microprint, and several other places microprint are used in different sizes.
