Manuel José Arce y Fagoaga (1 Jan 1787–14 Dec 1847) was a Salvadoran general in the wars for independence from Spain and Mexico. After helping to establish the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Central America, he was appointed its first president.

This note is distinguished from P#141 by being printed by the Canadian Bank Note Company.
