Comments

Paraguayan woman had an important role on the National history, therefore February 24th. is the Paraguayan Woman day, honoring the women who donated their jewels to support the Paraguayan army on the "Guerra de la Triple Alianza" (Three-party allied War), on Feb., 24., 1867. Being this one of the more remarkable acts, of course is not the only one, and in different ways Paraguayan women have deeply influenced on the Paraguayan history. The image used is from a picture of the important actress Dora del Cerro, who posed wearing the traditional clothes, and holding the pitcher commonly used to bring water.
