A collage of images of Benigno Aquino, Jr., showing him, inter alia, as a journalist for the Manila Times in front of an article about "1st Cav", as a senator (the pioneer of the "Study Now, Pay Later" education program), the mayor of his hometown of Concepcion, the governor of Tarlac, and and as the main driving force behind the People Power Revolution of 1986, some three years after his death in 1983.

Comments

Issued by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas as part of the New Design series, first issued into general circulation on August 21, 1987. This issue features the Type 5 blue seal of Bangko Central ng Pilipinas. Demonetized and was fully withdrawn from circulation on December 29, 2017, after the release of the New Generation Currency series banknotes in 2010.
