25th Anniversary of Autonomy of Banco de México (1994-2019)
Series: Series G
The historical process of the Independence of Mexico is represented with Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, who on September 16, 1810, launched "El Grito de Dolores" initiating the independence process, for which he is known as the "Padre de la PAtria", and José María Morelos y Pavón, who continued the insurgent fight after the death of Hidalgo, and is known as the "Siervo de la Nación." The effigies of Hidalgo and Morelos are accompanied by a vignette depicting the "Campana de Dolores", which was used to call the town and start the independence movement in the city of Dolores Hidalgo in Guanajuato.
