Yugoslav Partisan soldier with rifle at right. The conceptual solution for this design was given by Đorđe Andrejević Kun based on a real character - partisan Milivoj Rodić.
Serial number in red.

Comments

The Yugoslav Partisans were a communist-led resistance against the Axis powers (mainly Germany) during the WWII German occupation.
First emission of this banknote was printed in Russia, second in Serbia. The difference is visible in serial number font type.
It was released into circulation on June 30, 1945.

There are 2 types of print:
Russian print AA, AB, AC, AE, AH, PA
Yugoslav print БА-БК

There are 2 types of Specimen:

The overprint SPECIMEN on the banknotes is located at angles of 25 and
30 degrees. The color of the overprint is a darker red.
The outer dimensions, from the beginning to the end edges of the overprint, are: width 84.6 mm, height 9.6 mm, while the distance
between letters about 4.6 mm. The height of the letters is 9.4 mm for the letters P, E, I, M and N, while the letters S and C are slightly larger - 9.6 mm.

The overprint on the banknotes is at an angle of about 29 degrees.
The color of the overprint is red.
The outer dimensions, from the beginning to the end edges of the overprint, are: width 64.2 mm, height 7.6 mm, while the distance between the letters is about 3.3 mm. The height of the letters is 7.3 mm for the letters P, E, I, M and N, while the letters S and C are slightly larger - 7.6 mm.
The overprint SPECIMEN was made only in Yugoslav printer after Russian printer delivered their numerated banknotes.
