Comments

This banknote is called "Sokolac" by collectors in the area of origin.
There are some varieties in background colors, some are lighter than the others.

Released into circulation on April 27, 1941.

The overprint SPECIMEN is french type, specific for the apostrophe on the first letter É and with quotation marks, which no other print of ZIN printer had. Usually is located flush with graphics or at an angle of about 25 degrees, but considering that the overprint is manual, this can vary a lot. Color is purple or red, darker on some bills, on others lighter, depending on the amount of color applied to the matrix. Banknotes are mostly canceled with two diagonal lines on the reverse.
The outer dimensions, from the beginning to the end edges of the overprint, are: width 95.3 mm, height 14 mm, while the distance between the letters is about 3 mm. The height of the letters (without apostrophes) is 9.2 mm for the letters P, E, I, M and N, while the letters S and C are slightly larger - 9.6 mm.
