Coins from Palatinate-Mosbach-Neumarkt

The Palatinate-Mosbach was created in 1410 by the division of the domains of the Palatinate of the Rhine between the electoral branch with the capital Heidelberg and the branches Palatinate-Neumarkt, Palatinate-Simmern and Palatinate-Mosbach. The Palatinate-Mosbach branch is founded by Otto, the youngest son of Robert III. With the extinction of the Palatinate-Neumarkt branch in 1448, their possession passed to the Palatinate-Mosbach branch and became the Palatinate-Mosbach-Neumarkt. It lasted until the extinction of the Palatinate-Mosbach line of the House of Wittelsbach in 1499.
