Obverse

The left structure is the Arch of Titus, symbolizing Europe and Jewish suffering during the ages. The right image is the Temple in Jerusalem, symbolizing arrival in the Promised Land. Both images are separated by a wall, but simultaneously linked by the sea. The motto "Let us go up to Zion" is taken from the biblical Book Jeremiah 31:6.

5766/2006 Season's Greetings token.
 Dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of illegal immigration of Holocaust survivors during the years 1945-46. The legend on the token's obverse reads IUDAEA RESTORATA (Judea restored) and MCMXLV - MCMXLVI (1945-1946). The left structure is the Arch of Titus, symbolizing Europe and Jewish suffering during the ages. The right image symbolizes arrival in the Promised Land. Both images are separated by a wall, but simultaneously linked by the sea. The motto "Let us go up to Zion" is taken from the biblical Book Jeremiah 31:6.
The token was issued and mailed to IGCMC subscribers during August/September 2005, towards Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) 5766.
