Illegal imigration of holocaust survivors 1945-46
The left structure is the Arch of Titus, symbolizing Europe and Jewish suffering during the ages. The right image is the Temple in Jerusalem, symbolizing arrival in the Promised Land. Both images are separated by a wall, but simultaneously linked by the sea. The motto "Let us go up to Zion" is taken from the biblical Book Jeremiah 31:6.
