Minted as complimentary quantities of KM#438 for those years so that there was enough small change for the population.

Due to economic policies, almost all of these coins were sent to rural areas and small towns, meanwhile the 20 centavos 0.720 silver coins circulated simultaneously in big cities, that is why this coin is often found in terrible condition; making the well-preserved ones very valuable.
