Type I was minted in 1974 with an incorrect character in the Reverse Dzongkha (Bhutanese) legend. An "e" diacritical mark is missing on the character at 9:00. Schön describes the word as "phyad (sic!)". KM also states that the bust is further from the rim.

Type II was minted in 1974 and 1975 with the legend corrected. There is an "e" diacritical mark over the character at 9:00. Schön describes the word as "phyed". KM also states that the bust is closer to the rim.
