Comments

The basic design copies the Mohars struck in Kathmandu (Nepal) in the name of Pratap Simha, which were exported for use in Tibet. While these were unofficially struck by traders, a law in 1881 said there would be no distinction made between official and unofficial coins, and so these pieces were widely accepted.

Even though all coins are dated, the vast majority of dates are ficticious, with only four being accepted as real dates (15 - 28, 15 - 30, 15 - 40, and 15 - 46).
