To acknowledge the sacrifice and valour of the landings of Australian and New Zealand troops at Gallipoli in 1915 the RAM released this NCLT Last ANZACS dollar coin in 1999. By 1999 even a boy who had lied about his age to join the army at 15 or 16 would be 100, and sadly, veterans of Gallipoli were very few indeed.
This was the first Aluminium-bronze $1 coin to introduce the Ian Rank-Broadley 4th Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse.
The coin was available as a MYO (Mint Your Own) coin with a "C" Mintmark in the visitor gallery of the Royal Australian Mint and came with a small coincard to house it.
It was also available with a pre-struck Mintmark as well the ones done on Mobile Press at various Royal Shows as follows:- Sydney - "S" Mintmark, Brisbane - "B" Mintmark, Melbourne - "M" Mintmark, Adelaide - "A" Mintmark - All issued in a foldable light green coincard.
A special Twin Pack coincard was issued with the 1999 Year of Older Persons coin included with a "C" Mintmarked Last Anzacs coin. (See Link Below)
A PNC was released by Australia Post with a year 2000 dated coin. It had no mintmark.
A Fine Silver (.999) proof version of the coin was also released by the RAM in a capsule inside a plush box.

Values in the table above are expressed in USD. They are based on evaluations by Numista users and sales realized on Internet platforms. They serve as a measure, but they are not intended to be relied upon for buying, selling or exchanging. Numista does not buy or sell coins or banknotes.
Frequencies show the percentage of Numista users who own each year or variety among all the users who own this coin. Since some users own several versions, the sum may be greater than 100%.
