Comments

New Perpero (Nova Perpera) was minted 1801, 1802 and 1803. Its weight was 3.98 g and was 24 mm in diameter. In comparison to previous Perpero coins this one has more irregular details and is without S-B inscriptions. Year of minting is at the end of the lettering. Lettering variations: REIP./REIPUP., RHAGVSI./RHAGVSIN./RHAGVSINE.

Perpero from 1801 could be with or without mint letters of engraver (A. OBAD). Engraver inscription could be on reverse or both sides at once.

New Perpero was lighter and its silver content was below 0.500.
