Comments

The mint of Reval struck the same obverse design as the solidus being made in Riga, but they did not ask Riga's permission before starting. The reverse stamp currently resides in the Estonian Historical Museum, and was last used before the Second World War to strike a smaller number of novodels, which are restrikes meant for collectors. The quality of those pieces are not that high, and they are not made from a precious metal.
