The second edition of the first one pound coin in the 'Royal Diadem' series, it was issued as part of the 1989 Annual Coin Sets in both Brilliant Uncirculated & Proof versions.


This Leslie Durbin reverse design was originally released in 1984 with the earlier Machin second portrait on the obverse.
