Crowned and armored half-length bust of King Johann III facing right, holding raised sword over right shoulder and the Globus Cruciger in left hand (symbols of King's Power) inside a double circle. Legend is within the two circle, while outside, along the rim, there are 23 provincial crowned heraldic arms.

Translation: Johann III Dei Gratia King of Sweden, of the Goths and the Wends

Reverse

Crowned heart-shaped quartered shield with Greater arms of Sweden (Three Crowns of Sweden on first and fourth, Folkungs Lion on second and third and seal of the House of Vasa superimposed in the center). Legend around in three lines divided first by a beaded boarder than by a single line
