2017 saw the fiftieth anniversary of the gold Krugerrand and the South African Mint issued a commemorative limited edition proof 1oz Silver Krugerrand. Due to the popularity of this release, they have now issued a bullion version to compete with the other main silver bullion coins.
This is the same design as the 2017 one, but without the commemorative logo.
As of 2019 combination Proof sets were issue with the Big Five as mint mark on the front of the Silver Kruger Rand. The combination sets consists of a Silver Kruger Rand with a mint mark corrosponding to the Silver Five Rand in the set. In other words, the Kruger Rand will have a Buffalo on, and the Five Rand Buffalo will be in the set. Here are the links to the various Five Rand coins.
