Comments

The letter that appears in-field is the mintmark; however, which mint is attributed to each letter is not always certain. If a letter appears at the base of the bust, that is typical initial of the engraver, although in this case, the RX probably stands for Rex, meaning King.

The exact lettering of the surrounding legend may vary.

No date (M mintmark):
1) D N CVNI - NCPERT / D N CVNINCPERT REX

No date (N mintmark):
1) D N REX - PIEPII / D N CVNINCPERT REX RI
2) D N CVNI - NCPERT / D N CVNINCPERT REX

The legend of the pictured coin is odd, and is a seemingly unique example, making some believe it was possibly the first coin struck for Cunincpert. The type with Cunincpert's name on both sides would have been minted afterwards.
