Obverse

Mantled and laureate bust of King Frederik V facing right, wearing a band with the pendant of the Order of the Elephant.

Translation: Frederik V Dei Gratia King of Denmark, Norway, the Wends and the Goths

Reverse

Crown above two rounded crests posed on a pedestal, on which another coat of arms leans (arms of Danish Icelandic Company). At foot of pedestal there is a winged caduceus a trident and cornucopia. At lower left a globe with the outline of Iceland and lower coast of Greenland. The entire scene is enlighted by a radiating sun in upper left
