Comments

The medal was struck to commemorate President Cleveland's visit to the World's Columbian Exposition to open the festivities at the Fair on May 1, 1893. Cleveland made a speech, pushed a button and the famous Columbian Fountain started and a huge American flag ran up a tall flagpole.
