This crown-sized dollar coin commemorates the visit of HM Queen Elizabeth II to New Zealand between 22nd February and 2nd March 1986. It was issued in the usual square plastic Jewel case.


The third crowned portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael David Maklouf first appeared on UK coinage the previous year in 1985.
