This NCLT Aluminium-bronze coin was issued by the RAM to celebrate the ICC Cricket World Cup to be played in England & Wales between 30th May and 14th July 2019. The coin was issued in a coincard. This coin is possibly the last Australian $1 Dollar Aluminium-bronze coin to be issued with the 4th Effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.


The coin was also released by Australia Post in a PNC Issue 19 of 2019 (4,500 Copies)


Teams competing are Australia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa & the West Indies. Eleven world-class venues will be used in the 46-day tournament in which each side will play the other once in a single-league format with the top four sides after 45 matches progressing to the semi-finals. The Cricket World Cup is the third most watched global event and has huge interest and appeal amongst cricket fans.
