Comments

Originally part of the royal bodyguard, Yeoman Warders, or Beefeaters as they are more commonly known, first came to be stationed at the Tower of London under the orders of Henry VII. Taking the same royal oath of allegiance today as they would have in Tudor times, the Yeoman Warders continue to protect the Tower, its inhabitants and its treasures.

The third of four coins in the 2019 Tower of London series, produced in association with Historic Royal Palaces. The coin was issued individually in a Brilliant Uncirculated pack (11,645 sales) as well as in tubes for third parties (5,500 sales). The design features the Tower of London mint mark on the reverse and was also struck in copper-nickel, silver proof and gold proof.
