The Royal Australian Mint continues the Lunar Year Aluminium-bronze NCLT $1 coin releases this time with a two coin set issued in a dual coincard to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Rat in 2020.
This particular coin is the one on the left of the coincard and has a Rat balancing on a curve.
The Chinese Zodiac is based on a twelve year cycle, each year being represented by an animal. People born in the "Year of the Rat" are sensitive, imaginative and charming. they are generous to their loved ones, but can be quick-tempered. Those born in 2008, 1996, 1984, 1972, 1960, 1948, 1936 or 1924 were born into the year of the rat.
