At the start of the new millennium, Qantas returned to its regional origins and launched QantasLink as an
integrated air service network, connecting regional Australia to domestic and international destinations around
the world. Qantas also launched Jetstar as a new low-cost carrier in 2004, making travel even more accessible.

By 2008 Jetstar was the world's largest long haul budget airline. Qantas brought a new generation wide-body
aircraft to its fleet in 2008 with the Airbus A380, featuring a cabin interior by Marc Newson, who previously
created the Australian Design Award-winning Skybed for Qantas in 2004.
