The coins of this tamgha were originally attributed to the City of Chanak; however, that was based on early reading of Dr. Rtveladze, who has since changed his mind. These are now more often classified under an uncertain Chachian mint.

This type has a reduced weight and size, meaning it was likely one of the last types struck by this principality.
