Comments

Countermark on a Gulden (2/3 Taler) from Christian Wilhelm I. von Schwarzburg-Sondershausen (Dav. 951)

The Lower Rhine-Westphalian district decided in 1688 to check the value of the Gulden in circulation and to have it stamped according to their value. From 1693 full-value Gulden were countermarked with the "Kölner Zug", inferior Gulden with the value in Albus.
