Released individually in 2006 (6,872 sales) and in a 2-coin (no sales data) with the Victoria Cross Medal design, while also being struck in copper-nickel, silver piedfort and gold proof. Issue Limit: 7,500

The coin was re-issued in 2009 as part of the 16-piece set (1,168 sales) to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the 50 pence denomination. The 2009 issue was also struck in copper-nickel, gold proof and gold piedfort. Issue limit: 5,000.
