Lion or snow leopard walking left with Sogdian word above.

Lettering: xwbw

Translation: Ruler

Reverse

Pitchfork-like tamgha of Chach surrounded by Sogdian legend.

Lettering: xwbw prn st/wck

Translation: Coin of the Ruler Stachak

Comments

Two varieties exist of the xwbw prn legend: regular and backwards.

Above the tamgha (on prn): on the former, the lop is on the right side (like the pictured example); on the latter, the loop is on the left side.

To the left of the tamgha (on xwbw): on the former, an N-like character is at the top and a loop is at the bottom; on the latter, an N-like character is at the bottom and a loop is at the top.
