Comments

Often found with adjustment marks which do not detract from the value.
Although the legends and denominations are in french these coins are actually British because of the agreement in which Mauritius was ceded to Britain the language of the island had to remain French. Minted by the Calcutta mint. Even the 25 & 50 sous denominations allowed for them to easily translate into British monetary systems they also fit perfectly into the Spanish dollar too this being 1/16 dollar. (2 rupees = 1 dollar)
