Comments

This MOR (Mob of Roo's) coin was introduced by the RAM in May 1984 to replace the $1 Note. It is the only circulation version of the $1 coin to have the Arnold Machin effigy of the Queen, as the 1985 version switched to the  Raphael David Maklouf effigy.

The Uncirculated and Proof sets for 1984 interestingly did not feature a MOR dollar coin.
An uncirculated version of the MOR was released separately by the RAM in a square red bubble coincard.

A Proof version of the 1984 MOR was released separately by the RAM in a blue/grey plush velvet box.

In 1992 a Re-issue of the coin was released in a five coin set with four other coins unique to the 25mm $1 coin denomination from 1984 to 1992 all with original dates.

An Uncirculated version was also released in a Green Plastic Case Mintage unknown.

In 2006 The RAM released a Retro Silver Proof version of this coin as part of a 50 Years of Decimal Currency set.
