Comments

The Australian Koala is a sought-after coin series featuring annual designs of the much-loved koala – one of Australia’s most famous marsupials. Sleepy and docile, koalas spend most of their time either resting or eating gum leaves among the branches of Australia’s eucalyptus forests.

This 2020 high relief coin portrays an endearing image of a koala clinging to a tree branch. The noticeably raised image appears on a highly-polished concave surface. The reverse also includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KOALA and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, as well as the coin’s weight, fineness and year-date.

Accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, the coin is presented in a classic display case which comes in a protective illustrated shipper.
