Comments

Released by the RAM is this Fine Silver (.999) Proof version of the Great Aussie Coin Hunt series of coins that were also issued in  Aluminium-bronze in change, tubes & coincards at Australia Post outlets. This silver coin was issued in a capsule in a 26 coin cased set, with limited edition mintage 250, with certificate. These were retailed at $1250 but are now fetching much higher prices on the secondary market.

This coin is the Letter "U" for "Ute". With plenty of room for bikes, dogs and surfboards, the ute is a true-blue Aussie invention. From its origins as a pig-transporting passenger car to becoming one of the most popular working vehicles in the country, the Ute is deep-seated in Australian Culture. In 2018 three of the top four selling vehicles in Australia were Utes.
